THE STORY

Max Isaacson is a Cuban-American director best known for his work in genre filmmaking, including PIPE (starring Zoë Bell and Tracie Thoms), and WHISPERS (Fantastic Fest 2013, Florida Film Festival 2014). He has directed work for companies including Con-Air, HBO, Kia, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren, and written and directed work for FX, AMC and BBC America. His first feature, PARADISE (starring Patricia Allison, Tate Donovan, and Tia Carrere), a tropical punk western, will be beginning its festival and distribution run in 2023.

For the latter half of 2020 Max directed and co-produced Supercharge 2020, a live virtual event for Supermajority, the largest female-led political organization in the US. Supercharge 2020 featured such guests as Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Representative Ayanna Pressley, Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, Dolores Huerta, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and many many more. It was a resounding success, registering over 150,000 voters leading up to the 2020 election. Over the past 2 years he has also produced projects for Fashion Scholarship Fund, Grantmakers For Girls of Color, Black Feminist Fund, The American LGBTQ Museum, and the Black Girl Freedom Fund.

Along with over a decade of directing experience he has also production designed work for myriad companies including NBC, Nickelodeon, SyFy, Diane Von Furstenberg, Reese's Peanut Butter, and numerous seasons of television for Travel Channel, Discovery ID, and ESPN. He also costume designed for LCD Soundsystem, creating the iconic spacesuits used on the cover and liner for their album Sounds of Silver, for their music video North American Scum, and for their final performance at Madison Square Garden.
